As goes this blog... the journey of life is easier when you have something to keep yourself occupied. Some of my weekends i indulge in outdoor hobby, my Motorbike and the long roads...
Some weekend, i get up by 6.00 am and mount my bike and head toward either Lonavala or Pune or Some such nearby place...The ride is usually solo or at times with my group of friends at www.mumbaibikers.com .
The roar of the bike, the feel of the breeze thru the hair, flapping of the shirt against the back, feeling of power on the road and a long long long road ahead are some of the feelings that only a biker can understand...
We @ mumbaibikers are gonna go to Leh, the Capital of Ladakh by bike on 28th June. We would be going to NewDelhi via Train, the bikes would be transported via some road transporter to NDelhi and then on we and our bikes for company, all the way to Leh via Chandigarh, Manali etc... From Leh, we would be going to Siachen Glacier and then on to Jammu. Its a total ride of apx 1200 Kms and going to about 18350 Feet above sea level. Its also known as the ROOF of the world, as it is the highest motorable road in the world.

My Hobbies - Shri Ganesh Collection
As goes this blog... the journey of life is easier when you have something to keep yourself occupied. I have some hobbies, which keep me quite busy. The following is a list of hobbies i follow, though not in the order of the amount of time they demand on my busy schedule...
I am an avid follower of Shri Ganesha-The hindu Elephant Faced God. He is a source of immence encouragement, patience and willpower in times of peril. I was always awed by the various forms a Ganeshji's statue takes in India. I started collecting all unique shapes and sizes of Shri Ganeshji since the past few years. Each of my outdoor/Outstation visit is peppered with a visit to a local temple, where the shopping area is bound to get me access to some new form of Shri Ganeshji. Till date i have some 42 Unique statues collected and occupying a place of pride in my Drawing Room. I keep collecting them, but now its getting difficult to find unique shapes. So its becomming more challenging to develop the hobby.

It always was a painful task to select a perfect blogname and i never could think up some name that would comprehend all my hobbies and be self explanatory in the first place.
You must be wondering what does the name mean...
Well, as i was pondering for a name for a new blog, i was not sure how to go about doing it. Fortunately, a good samaratian chatted my way and after a little bit of scratching of heads, and banging up ideas, Suresh Varma came up with this one.
"Road to lazy eight" which means road to infinity or "journey to Lazy Eight" lazy eight is a sign for Infinity. The Figure of 8 written horizontally is a lazy 8, and thats ∞ . Greek symbol which is also the lowercase omega. Omega is the last letter of greek alphabet which means upper limit or end or limitless...
Combining short messeging lingo, i finalised on j2lazy8.blogspot.com
If one discovers a wise person who points out one’s errors and sternly corrects one, he should be looked upon as a benign revealer of a treasure. His company should be sought. Such association would make better persons of men. Dhammapada - Verse 76
I am fortunate enough to have wise and learned men in my life and i seek to be a better person - everyday of my life.
